Golf Rules

All building is carried out on the single waste pile. A single, exposed card from one of the seven columns may be transferred to the waste pile if it follows either an ascending or descending sequence regardless of suit. So in the above example, either the 5 or the 7 may be built on the 6. Sequences may turn the corner with Kings building on Aces and Aces building on Kings. When no more cards from the columns can be transferred to the waste pile, a card from the stock is dealt to the waste pile and building resumes. When the stock is exhausted, and no more building can occur, then the game is over. When playing Rules 1 and 2, for your first move you may play any of the exposed column cards to the waste pile to get the ball rolling, so you'll have to scan the cards really quickly to see which card might release the best initial sequence. For all other rules, an initial card is dealt from the stock to the waste pile so you have to build on that. Be aware that your score is entirely proportional to the time you take to clear out the columns, so you're gonna have to motor ! My personal best on Rule 1 is 43 seconds and I was flying. Sub-minute times seem impossible at first, but if you keep playing Golf endlessly, you find yourself playing on instinct and scanning several moves ahead. It can get quite frantic ! Don't forget, you can double click or right click on a card to send it flying to the waste pile.

The tableau piles can be built down by cards of the same colour, also wrapping from A to K if necessary. If the cards in the tableau pile are stacked not only by the same colour but also by the same suit, then you can move the group of cards together. An empty tableau pile can be filled by any card. When you cannot find any moves, then you can click the stock pile and then one card will be dealt to each of the tableau piles. After 3 rounds of dealing the stock cards, 2 cards are left and the 2 cards can be laid out and can be used to stack to the tableau piles or put to the foundation piles. Try to empty the tableaus and stack the cards according to suit if possible. If there are no more moves, then you can click the "give up" button to end the game. The more cards you put to the foundation piles, the higher your score.

The 4 foundations on the left side are to be built up from A to K regardless of suits, while the 4 foundations on the right are to be built down from K to A regardless of suits. Each of the tableau piles can only hold 1 card. When a tableau pile becomes empty, the top card on the stock pile will be moved face-up to the space. If the stock pile becomes empty, you can move any card to an empty tableau pile. Each time you can move a card on a tableau pile, the top card on a reserve pile or the top card on the discard pile to a foundation. The top card on a foundation can be moved to another foundation according to the building rules of the foundations. When you have run out of moves, you can click the stock pile to deal a new card to the discard pile. But if the stock pile becomes empty and you cannot make any more moves, you lose. Use the cards on the foundations carefully and make strategic moves across are the keys to increase the chance of winning.
